Exam Success Starts Here

Exams can feel overwhelming, but with the right preparation, support and mindset, every student can succeed.

This page brings together simple, practical advice to help students feel confident, organised and ready for their exams.

Top Study Tips

Creating the Right Environment

  • Find a quiet, comfortable space to study
  • Keep your workspace tidy and organised
  • Reduce distractions (phones, TV, social media)
  • Make sure you have everything you need before you start

Managing Time Effectively

  • Use short bursts of study (e.g. 25-45 minutes) followed by a break
  • Prioritise subjects or topics you find more challenging
  • Build in time for rest and relaxation
  • Don’t forget to revise little and often

Looking After Your Wellbeing

Your wellbeing is just as important as your revision.

  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Eat regular, balanced meals
  • Stay hydrated
  • Talk to someone if you’re feeling stressed or worried
  • Take breaks and do things you enjoy

On the Day of the Exam

  • Arrive on time and prepared
  • Read all questions carefully before answering
  • Plan your time across the paper
  • Stay calm - if you get stuck, move on and come back later
  • Remember: do your best - that is enough
