Lostock High School

We were incredibly proud of our SEND students in Years 7–9 who recently took part in a Higher Education experience at Manchester Metropolitan University. The day included workshops, a campus tour, a Q&A session and an immersive escape room experience, where students demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience and communication. They stepped confidently outside their comfort zones, engaged positively throughout, and were a real credit to our school.

We were also honoured to attend the grand opening of Green Tec Auto, an EV and hybrid battery recycling company committed to sustainability. Five of our Careers Ambassadors toured the new Manchester site and learned about the growth of green industries across Greater Manchester, exploring future job and apprenticeship opportunities for young people.
