Are you currently struggling to cope with friendships issues, exam worries, or recent bereavement? You are not alone. Scroll down for more information, or speak to a member of staff for support.

At school you have your Form Tutor or Head of Year who you can talk to. We also have a welfare team who can support you with anything from friendship issues to safeguarding.
Sessions may be available with the school nurse and internal and external counsellors.

Trafford Safeguarding Children 

42nd support services to young people under stress. They work with young people 13 – 25 living in Manchester, Salford and Trafford providing a range of services including counselling, individual support, group work and volunteering opportunities - 0161 831 7108.

Trafford Family Services - provides a wide range of information on services, childcare, activities and events for you or your family.

TalkShop - - Advice and information service for 13-19 year olds in Trafford - 0161 912 2453.

Trafford Youth Zone - - For information on other services available.

The Proud Trust - - Supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans young people. They meet in Sale and Old Trafford.

Kooth - - Free and anonymous online counselling and support for 11-18 year olds. Open 12pm—10pm, 365 days a year by qualified counsellors and psychotherapists.


Trafford Sunrise Group - - Support for children age 5 – 12 years in coping with stress and promoting emotional wellbeing.

Parenting in the Digital Age -

It's Not Okay - Help and support with issues to do with Child Sexual Exploitation.

LGBT Youth - - Advice and support about sexuality and sexual orientation. – help and advice if you are worried about a child or if you are a child who needs some confidential advice and support. - Support, help and advice on a wide range of issues including everything from bereavement to bullying - 0800 1111.

End The – Anybody who is experiencing domestic or sexual violence can find help, support and advice here. Support to people who know someone who may be being abused is also provided.

Healthy Young Minds - - Trained professionals can meet with you to talk about how you are feeling and the problems you are struggling with.
